Scott joined Letson Investment Management in 2002. He is a CPA with 15 years of investment management and tax accounting experience.
After obtaining a Bachelor of Business Administration from Southern Methodist University and a Masters of Taxation from Georgia State, Scott began his working career as a CPA in the tax department of SR Business Services, a division of Century Business Services. His area of expertise was individual tax compliance and consulting for high net worth individuals.
Always having more of an interest in investments than tax accounting, Scott left the CPA world to partner with a client at a subsidiary of AXA Financial. He wanted to take the high level of professionalism and integrity from his CPA career into the investment management field.
Scott enjoys helping people navigate through the difficult and often treacherous landscape of investing. His investing methodology was formed by the lessons of Warren Buffett, Benjamin Graham, Peter Lynch and many more, whose teachings frequently run contrary to the investment products that many brokerage firms sell their clients.
Outside of work, Scott likes to stay active in the local community. He is an avid golfer, tennis player, and runner, competing in various tournaments and events throughout the year.
